This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.We are seeking a skilled Assembly & Integration Technician who will leverage their technical expertise and leadership to ensure safe and efficient human spaceflight. This role involves manufacturing space flight harness and sensor assemblies, operating precision tools and equipment, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to support our mission of safe space exploration.**Key Responsibilities*** Configure new production work areas with the necessary tooling and equipment to ensure efficient workflow and minimize any potential delays during the transition to high-rate manufacturing* Operate precision calibrated tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, etc.) to maintain high safety and quality standards* Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity.* Drive the transition from development to production, proactively performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.* Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles to promote safety and operational efficiency.**Team Focus & Domain Expertise**The Sub Assemblies team plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing of high-reliability products that make up the vehicle. As a member of this team, your expertise will be needed for complex manufacturing that require multiple skills and processes such as drilling, riveting, torque, safety wire, cable/harness routing and mating, strain gauge and sensor installation, application of lubricants, and basic fabrication practices. Through your attention to detail, adherence to standard practices, and proactive eye for quality and continuous improvement, you will ensure high-quality results that support the mission.**Minimum Qualifications*** 1-3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another related field* Familiarity with one or more of the following: Precision hole drilling with tight tolerances, structural integration and assembly, mechanical assembly, confined space work, overhead crane operation or experience working around overhead operations, wire harness routing and connector mate de-mate, precision measuring equipment, basic hand tools and power feed drills* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately* Experience with precision calibration tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, and optical measuring instruments* Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at heights (work stands, ladders, lifts) and/or in confined spaces* Proficiency in various applications, including adhesives, sealants, and topcoats* Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications* Background Check* Required for all positions: Blue’s Standard Background Check**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience with Factory of the Future concepts* Strong technical and leadership skills with a keen attention to detail, essential for leading teams in complex manufacturing tasks.* Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification* Willingness to work overtime or adjust shifts as needed.**Position Specific Details**This position will require shift flexibility to align with changes in business need.
