90% FTE (36 hours per week), Night shift

Department Description

4MB is the first innovative in-patient unit in the UW Medicine system, at the forefront of virtual care by integrating the latest technologies, allowing us to explore new virtual care initiatives.

20-bed in-patient acute care unit with telemetry monitoring capability, specializing in, but not limited to, planned spine surgery patients and other planned surgical cases.

Staff in this unit should be flexible and adaptable to all new technologies, and assigned to brand new unit (4MB).

Primary Job Responsibilities

Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse

Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating

Maintain a safe environment of care

Patient transportation

Prepare patients for surgery

Perform non-invasive lab procedures

Transport equipment and supplies

Assist with treatments

Perform various clerical tasks

Take vital signs

Requirements

Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)

High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care in an acute care health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience.

Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details Pay Range Minimum:

$58,788.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$84,168.00 annual

Other Compensation:

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible new part-time and full-time employees joining UW Medicine Evening: $1.50/hour Night: $2.25/hour Weekend: $1.50/hour
