Base Pay Range $20.00/hr - $26.00/hr

General Function The role of the optical lab technician is to operate a finishing lab, including transmitting lab orders, edging and inserting lenses, troubleshooting, inventory control, and maintenance.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Manufacturing of eyewear

Ordering products

Data entry into an EMR system

Preparing product for inventory

Maintenance and lab upkeep

Other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager

Knowledge & Skills

Verify prescriptions

Operate edging equipment

Mark up and layout prescription lenses

Ansi standards.

One year of lab experience preferred

Excellent customer service and phone skills

Ability to present and implement decisive and creative solutions to opportunities that drive business growth.

Ability to provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet/exceed patient expectations

Attention to detail and follow-up.

Ability to manage priorities through adaptability and flexibility.

Willingness to take calculated risks.

Experience with computers and software literacy

State license, ABO certified, or certification by a nationally-recognized opticianary association as an optician is preferred, but not required.
