Novellis Health is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented per diem Urology Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at our Richmond Hill (Queens) and Brooklyn offices. The successful candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations of the genitourinary system, including the kidneys, bladder, prostate, testicles, and related structures. This role requires strong technical expertise in urological sonography, exceptional patient care skills, and the ability to work closely with urologists and radiologists to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Conduct and assist with urologic procedures such as biopsies and other interventional studies. Obtain and document relevant patient history and clinical information. Ensure proper patient identification and verification of exam details. Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation. Evaluate patients to identify potential risk factors and ensure safety during procedures. Maintain exam room cleanliness and readiness between patients. Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment as needed to optimize image quality. Perform routine quality control checks and promptly report equipment issues. Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Prioritize and manage workload efficiently based on clinical urgency and scheduling needs. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, providers, and team members to ensure coordinated care. Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field (preferred). Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program. ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required. Minimum 2 years of relevant urology or genitourinary imaging experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clinical staff and patients. Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and professional judgment in a fast-paced setting. Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and safety standards.
