SUMMARY Performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and baths under close supervision of the Inspectress/or and the Housekeeping Manager. Room Attendant promotes a positive image of property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly.

Regular attendance is an essential function of the job. PIC cannot accommodate unpredictable or sporadic absenteeism, unless it is covered by federal/state law

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

Follow the Policies and Procedures established by the Housekeeping Department and the Hotel.

Ensures and maintains the cleanliness and upkeep of PIC property (picking up loose trash, material and debris and disposing of it in appropriate trash receptacles provided).

Comply with all Safety and Security programs.

Complete all tasks set out on the room attendant’s book assignment on a daily basis.

Clean all stay and check out rooms, clean according to the standards set out within procedural manual.

Ensure housekeeping trolleys are kept clean and tidy at all times.

Meet and greet all guests, be polite at all times, and ensure their requirements are either communicated or met.

Ensure the linen room and stock rooms are kept tidy and clean at all times.

Ensure all toiletries and cleaning materials should be stored according to OSHA regulations at all times.

Ensure that all standards are met, if items are missing or areas have not been cleared to standard you will be asked to re-clean the guest’s room to ensure standards are met.

Carry out any duty requested by the supervisors or management.

Ensure that the floor you are responsible for is kept clean, tidy, and free from spillages at all times.

Use the equipment provided to clean assigned areas to the highest standards. Equipment should be used according to the health and safety recommendations and instructions/ health and safety training provided at all times.

Ensure all trash is properly recycled.

Ensure proper logging of time when exiting and entering a guest room is indicated on book.

Move items in guest rooms if necessary to clean (5-50 lbs.).

React proactively to all duties and responsibilities.

Always look for ways of improvements and makes suggestions to the team.

Perform other duties deemed necessary by management.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions; High School Graduate or equivalent. Minimum One (1) year experience in a hotel or resort; ability to read, write, and speak English.
