Garage Door Install Technician

We are looking for a motivated garage door service technician to join our growing staff. As a technician, your main duties will be installing garage doors in residences and commercial buildings, as well as training new technicians. Since our business specializes in remodels, new installations, and repairs, technicians will visit various project sites, and no two days will be the same. You'll be interacting with customers on a daily basis across all of our service areas, so you must possess excellent customer service skills. A person with experience using power tools and a fundamental knowledge of how electrical systems are wired and connected would be an ideal candidate for this position.

Responsibilities

Complete a thorough inspection, make a precise diagnosis of any problems with the present system, and give the customer their options

Attend appointments within the window that has been given to the client

Include yourself in all workplace activities and adhere to all rules and regulations

Use software to take notes, create quotes, and send invoices

Calculate installation openings and perform site inspections for larger jobs

Assist in all aspects of the garage door industry

Qualifications

This position requires a high school diploma or GED

Skills in math and the ability to solve problems are required, as is the ability to use a measuring tape

Working knowledge of electrical wiring and connections

Comfortable with using power and hand tools

Outstanding customer service abilities are required for this position

Compensation $18 hourly
