Responsibilities As a Body Shop Detailer, you would be responsible for ensuring customers’ vehicles are returned to them in a timely manner and in accordance with company and applicable safety and quality standards. You should pay close attention to detail and take great pride in your finished product. Continued training would be provided.
Receive, check‑in, and distribute parts to technicians
Coordinate sublet work
Thoroughly check that all blends are properly buffed
Wash and detail the interior and exterior of vehicles, including under‑hood inspection and clean‑up, clean door and trunk jams, windows and wheels cleaned, and truck beds rinsed out, etc.
Confirm all lights and blinkers work correctly
Effectively communicate with techs on what was repaired
Maintain cleanliness of shop, including taking out of all trash, trash cans and cardboard
Accurately complete quality control sheets
Qualifications
A self‑motivated team player that is able to communicate effectively with team members
Able to stand or walk on hard surfaces for the majority of shift while exposed to elevated noise and chemicals. Must be able to stoop, bend, and twist on a daily basis.
Can carry up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 70.
Able to safely operate a wide variety of cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans, including both automatic and manual transmissions.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Pass a motor vehicle report and possess a safe driving record.
Pass a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug test (testing includes marijuana). Also subject to random drug testing at the company’s request.
