Responsibilities
Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases and hard goods orders; return empty cylinders to branch or plant for refilling.
Perform all required pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
Complete all FDA/DOT required documentation.
Track delivery and pick‑up of cylinders at customer sites using handheld device and complete all required information/steps during the delivery and pick‑up processes.
Keep truck clean and in line with DOT standards.
Communicate with supervisor on truck maintenance, customer‑related issues, and delivery efficiencies.
Establish and maintain good customer relations by communicating in person with customers.
Identify and monitor customers’ needs and work with them to maintain proper hard goods and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
One (1) year driving experience.
CDL A or B with Hazmat endorsement.
Clean MVR driving record.
Ability to lift 65 lbs.
Meet all DOT physical qualification standards.
Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Regularly stand, walk, bend, use hands and arms, and handle cylinders weighing 150 lbs up to 600 lbs.
Flexibility to work overtime as required.
