We are looking for a top‑performer to join our team as our new Quality Coordinator/Infection Prevention RN. This position leads all aspects of Quality/Risk Management/Infection Control/Employee Health.
The Infection Control RN is trained in hospital epidemiology principles and is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of nosocomial infections; educating employees about infection control; and the development of health system policies and procedures to ensure rigorous infection control standards that meet JCAHO, OSHA, Public Health Department, and Center for Disease Control requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Minimum 2-3 years’ prior experience in Quality Control/Infection Prevention
Minimum 2-3 years’ prior experience in direct Nursing Leadership
RN license in the state of Texas
Familiar with Core Measures, TJC standards
Business office courses or experience, preferred.
Business college training is desirable.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, certification preferred
Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Possess the ability to deal tactfully with physicians as well as with facility employees.
Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
AHA - BLS certified
