Speech Teacher -Substitute

The West Seneca Central School District is currently seeking a substitute for a Speech Teacher at the elementary school level. This will be a full-time, temporary appointment beginning immediately through a date to be determined, for an individual who holds certification in the Speech tenure area.
This position could extend to a long-term substitute appointment with salary and benefits paid according to the West Seneca Teacher's Association's collective bargaining agreement, commensurate and prorated to the appointment time frame.
Roles
Speech teacher working across all levels - K through 5, ensuring educational relevance in general education and special education classrooms Providing Speech Language therapy to students Serving a wide range of disorders (speech sound disorders, language, fluency) Highlighting language/literacy and culturally competent services Range of responsibilities
Prevention, assessment, intervention Data collection Compliance - appropriate teaching certificate and NYS license (or ASHA CCC) for Medicaid billing Ability to work with families, students and collaborate with teachers and administration Previous completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred Building/Location: Winchester Potters Elementary Job Qualifications
Certification Type Speech {6190} or; Speech & Hearing Handicapped {9020} or; Speech and Language Disabilities {9021} and; Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Renewable License Specialized Training
