HOURS Part‑time; 1st shift 4:00 am to 9:00 am
Part‑time employees in Commercial Contracts are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave. All employees may also make pre‑tax or post‑tax (Roth) contributions to our retirement plan – must be 18 years of age to participate.
LOCATION Westminster Campus – 3654 West 112th Ave, Westminster, CO
OBJECTIVE You will perform assigned janitorial duties on‑site at the location while working to ensure Goodwill standards are met or exceeded.
QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS / PREFERENCES Must conduct yourself in a professional manner conducive to a productive work environment; demonstrate good judgment, responsibility and initiative; possess effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates; work cooperatively; organize work and make good decisions. Maintain a professional appearance appropriate for the work setting. Must be able to work with people with disabilities and disadvantaged conditions.
Additional Requirements
High‑energy, positive thinker.
One year previous custodial experience preferred.
Candidate may be disqualified if they have a criminal record for illegal drug use or sale, financial fraud, identity theft, physical abuse, crimes involving violence and/or theft.
Specific Activities
Work with a team.
Sweep and mop floors.
Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
Clean and disinfect.
Vacuuming / shampoo clean carpets.
Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
Mix various cleaning agents.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
Apply wax to coat floors and buff.
Strip and top‑scrub floors.
Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
May move heavy items such as furniture.
Identify and report possible repairs.
Monitor building security and safety by supervising locking doors after operating hours.
Help create a safe working environment for yourself, customers, and fellow employees.
Background Requirements It is the vendor’s responsibility to ensure that personnel have completed a criminal background check. The vendor must ensure that workers do not have a history of criminal activity related to theft or violence. CBI Background Check Compliance.
Physical Requirements Continuously 5‑8 hours: lifting heavy (45 lbs +), moderate (15‑44 lbs), and light (14 lbs – under). Carrying heavy, moderate, light. Pushing/Pulling X. Reaching: above shoulder, at shoulder, below shoulder. Twisting, bending, kneeling/crawling, squatting, climbing stairs and ladders. Hearing, vision (close, distant, depth perception), hands/fingers (simple grasping, fine manipulation, repetitive movements). Walking, standing, sitting, speaking.
