This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of heavy‑duty trucks, including tractor‑trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll‑off trucks. As a vital link in our logistics chain, you’ll ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in commercial driving and route management will drive our success and keep operations moving smoothly.
Responsibilities
Safely operate heavy‑duty trucks such as tractor‑trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll‑off trucks across assigned routes.
Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual methods, ensuring secure cargo handling.
Plan and follow optimal routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all safety regulations and road laws.
Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, especially when hauling oversized or specialized equipment.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, route information, and delivery documentation for compliance purposes.
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any incidents encountered on the road.
Qualifications
Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on heavy haul or tractor‑trailer operations.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to heavy haul operations (e.g., tanker, flatbed).
Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently.
Familiarity with different trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll‑off trucks.
Experience in freight handling—load & unload procedures—and route driving across varied terrains.
Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo.
Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance at all times. Handled wide loads in excess of 14' wide
Handled tall loads in excess of 16' tall
Handled 100,000 lbs loads
Pulled low‑pro step decks and understands how to use ramps
Driver heavy equipment tracked and rubber tire equipment onto RGN
Additional Requirements
License:
A valid CDL is mandatory
Hazmat required.
If you don't have it you will be required to obtain HZ along with tanker endorsement
Experience:
Experience with tractor‑trailer combinations is often required, and specialized experience with open‑deck or lowboy trailers is highly valued
Regulations:
Deep understanding of Safety regulations, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA) and the ability to obtain the necessary permits for oversize loads.
Technical skills:
Familiarity with GPS navigation, route planning software, electronic logging devices (ELD's), and load securement equipment is essential.
Physical and personal:
Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and a strong attention to detail are crucial
Clean Driving Record:
A history of few or no moving violations and accidents is generally required, especially for specific companies
Pay Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour
