Summary: Hotel housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and maintaining hotel guest rooms and public spaces in a clean, orderly, and attractive condition. They ensure facilities meet established standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clean guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing supplies
Remove trash and change linens in guest rooms
Clean public areas such as lobbies, hallways, lounges, and restrooms
Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, and amenities in guest rooms
Report any repairs or maintenance issues to management
Adhere to all safety standards and procedures
Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
Deliver exceptional guest service and respond to any special requests
May assist other departments as needed during peak periods
Qualifications and Skills
Prior housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel setting, 3‑5 years
Ability to follow checklists and procedures accurately
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Physical ability to push, pull, lift, and maneuver housekeeping equipment
Good communication skills and customer‑service orientation
Able to work individually as well as part of a team
Reliable and punctual
Physical Demands This role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Working hours may vary and include weekends and holidays.
