Job Title: Toddler Lead Teacher
Duties/Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain a learning environment that is clean, organized, and enticing for young learners.
Use behavior management techniques individually tailored to each child and promote classroom normalization. Willingness to train in Collaborative Problem Solving through the school is a must.
Carefully observe each child, recording academic progress and offering new challenges.
Support each child’s full development socially, mentally, physically and emotionally.
Maintain positive relationships and communications with parents and peers.
Actively participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills/Abilities
Love, patience, and respect for children.
Montessori Certification (preferred)
Prior teaching experience in a Montessori environment (preferred)
Knowledge of Montessori principles and materials.
Knowledge of early childhood development.
Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.
Collaborates effectively with colleagues/co-teacher.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in early education or a related field
Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
