Responsibilities
Creating and implementing nursing policies to foster a positive and organized work environment while planning, prioritizing and assigning health care tasks to clinical support team members
Managing medication schedules and ensuring communication with the medical team to avoid medication errors
Encouraging all staff to adhere to the highest standards in patient care and conducting regular staff reviews
Maintaining knowledge of current trends in nursing and ambulatory care and educating teams
Communicating with patients and their family members as needed, and offering emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families in distress
Assessing, processing and discharging patients
Managing patient and employee records with a focus on following HIPAA regulations and quality standards
Providing a direct line of communication between patients, nursing staff and physician
