Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)

Location 930 West 16th Street Hastings, MN 55033
Position Type Full‑Time, varying hours including every other weekend
Shift Availability Days – Flexible start time 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Wage $24.00 – $26.00 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to all residents, visitors, and staff.
Work with admissions, room transfers, and discharges.
Transcribe physician orders and assist in preparing residents’ treatment charts.
Schedule resident appointments, transportation, and labs.
Prepare and file 21‑day admission audits on each resident.
Maintain and file resident medical records electronically.
Direct phone calls, sort mail, and complete other receptionist duties.
Perform other tasks as requested.
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Health Information Coordinator, Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) or Trained Medication Aide (TMA) required.
Must be able to pass medical terminology class.
Current Minnesota LPN license preferred.
Basic knowledge of computers, word processing, data processing, and copy machines.
Strong leadership, written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, time management and team‑building skills.
Self‑starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
