Summary
Mission Technologies, a Division of HII is seeking a Part Time Field Engineer to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators in Tucson, AZ. The primary responsibility will be to conduct technical analysis of simulator implementations, modifications, and enhancements in accordance with specific customer specifications. Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinated solutions. Coordinate hardware and software installation, integration, validation and verification support for F-16 MTT simulators. Prepare and coordinate physical configuration audits in conjunction with the Configuration Manager, process document changes and assist in updating drawings.
What you will do
Troubleshoots technical problems and issues.
Determines technical solution in accordance with simulator and customer specifications and recommends actions for coordinated solutions.
Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors, and company representatives.
Rapidly adapt and learn the functions and operations of the F-16 MTT simulator.
Provide support to a large and diverse customer base as a member of a complex team comprised of contractors and Government personnel.
Assist with identification of equipment in the F-16 MTT and all aspects of simulator support.
Prepare and execute hardware deployment and site installation plans.
Review mission scope-of-work requirements and technical design packages.
Coordinate with customer project managers, administrative and technical program support staff, and customers.
Assist with updates to technical information in technical drawings and technical data packages. Create diagrams as needed for planning and documentation purposes.
Other duties as assigned.
What you must have
9 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Master's in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
Strong presentation/briefing skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to support customer requirements.
Proven ability to work both in a team and individually.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
U.S. Citizenship.
Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to upgrade to Special Access Program / Special Access Required (SAP/SAR).
Preferred Requirements
Experience in the DoD simulator community.
Experience supporting SAP efforts.
Physical Requirements Work will be in a normal office environment. May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
