Associate or Senior Associate, Trade Shared Services - FTZ Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Roles & Responsibilities

Support managed service engagements across a variety of industries on Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) implementation and operations.

Provide quality review for basic to complex trade compliance tasks and processes performed with the Trade & Customs Delivery Center.

Support FTZ clients with validating data, implementing, testing and using GTM solutions.

Provide clients with guidance on requirements of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and participating government agencies (PGA) for import, entry and export transactions in an FTZ environment.

Assist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and satisfaction.

Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.

For Senior Associate – act as a valued member of the FTZ Service Delivery Team and support the development and training of delivery center staff.

Qualifications

Minimum one year of recent import/export experience with strong working knowledge of FTZ processes, compliance activities, and operations, including PGA reporting, and other import/export matters.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Juris Doctor (JD) or a master's degree from an accredited college or university in international trade preferred; minimum of a Bachelor's degree required.

Previous experience using FTZ inventory control and record‑keeping systems and/or FTZ processing preferred.

Strong technical skills with the ability to conduct in‑depth reviews of import/export data using data and analytics.

Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate

Minimum three years of recent import/export experience with strong working knowledge of FTZ processes, compliance activities, and operations.

Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or other related trade certification preferred.
