Premier Advisor – New Bern, NC (Truist)
We are seeking a dedicated professional to serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of financially complex client relationships within the mass‑affluent market segment across the Truist footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass‑affluent clients, delivering banking, mortgage, planning, investments, and insurance services.
Establish and periodically update understanding of client financial needs through profiling and personal financial planning analysis.
Act as a personal financial planning/advisory resource for clients, attorneys, and CPAs.
Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals by acquiring new clients, expanding services, and marketing products.
Active participation in the sales management process, including use of the automated sales process and referral guidelines.
Coordinate with Truist teammates and external centers of influence to enhance business development.
Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and operational frameworks.
Support ongoing development of the Premier Banking program, processes, products, and operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent financial services experience.
Minimum five years of financial services experience working with banking, investments, and/or retail lending (or one year in a financial client relationship manager role).
Advanced knowledge of personal financial planning, insurance, investment management, and bank products for the mass‑affluent market.
Active Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 & 65 in lieu of 66), and applicable insurance licenses (Life, Health, Variable); must obtain SIE, Series 7, and any required insurance licenses within 100‑150 days of hire.
Strong interpersonal, sales, and relationship‑management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or banking.
Mass‑affluent banking experience.
Completion or enrollment in professional certification programs such as CFP, CFA, AAMS®, CTFA®, CLU®, CRPC®, or ChFC®.
Completion of a leadership development program or banking school, e.g., Truist Leadership Development Program.
