Assurance Senior Manager, Accounting Advisory & Outsourcing
BDO USA is looking for an Assurance Senior Manager to advise companies on complex accounting and reporting matters, including implementation of new accounting standards and training in both internal and external contexts.
Job Duties
Research complex auditing and reporting problems, communicating findings to clients.
Design tools and templates for use on ARAS engagements.
Evaluate impacts of new business transactions, such as combinations, discontinued operations, debt modifications, and stock compensation.
Produce thought‑leadership pieces, conference calls, and live presentations for clients and prospective clients.
Demonstrate thought leadership and provide value‑added insights in BDO’s formal communications, articles, and speeches.
Participate on professional committees.
Apply GAAP, GAAS, SEC, PCAOB, and other regulations with honesty and integrity.
Other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Act as a career advisor to associates, seniors, and managers.
Provide verbal and written performance reviews as needed.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or another focus area with CPA certification.
Master’s in Accountancy preferred.
Seven or more years of relevant work experience.
Supervisory experience required.
CPA required.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with accounting research databases.
Additional Skills
Solid understanding of public‑company accounting standards and reporting requirements.
Strong leadership, communication, client‑development, and decision‑making abilities.
Advanced knowledge of GAAP and SEC guidelines.
Salary National Range: $160,000 - $175,000 Maryland Range: $160,000 - $175,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $160,000 - $175,000
