Assistant Manager
– GCI Residential, LLC (Legacy Concord community, Concord, NC)

This position is accountable for protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of the assigned residential community to maximize financial return and benefit residents, prospects, and visitors.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to residents by handling maintenance requests and resolving issues related to rental collection, renewals, move‑ins/move‑outs, and complaints about other residents, staff or company policy.
Act as a liaison between the Property Manager and staff; manage leasing and maintenance staff in the Property Manager’s absence.
Assist with the collection of delinquent accounts and manage the eviction process with the Property Manager’s approval and support from resident services and leasing staff.
Develop resident correspondence and assist with resident retention activities.
Assist with preparation for and attend staff meetings and training sessions.
Manage office supplies and coordinate purchases within company guidelines and budget.
Approve routine purchases and process invoices with review by the Property Manager.
Represent GCI professionally at all times, maintaining a courteous and respectful attitude toward residents, co‑workers, and the public.
Requirements
Three to five years of experience as a site manager, leasing manager, or related management role; industry experience strongly preferred.
Education, Licenses, and Certifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Liberal Arts, or equivalent real‑estate or sales management, training, or marketing experience.
Required Skills
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills (MS Office, internet).
Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
Strong work ethic and a "whatever it takes" attitude.
Ability to motivate others and self‑motivate.
Understanding of Landlord/Tenant and Fair Housing laws; ability to grasp all facets of real‑estate management.
MRI skills a plus.
Other Requirements
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insurance required.
Minimum of forty hours per week; regular attendance mandatory.
