We currently operate multiple elementary and middle schools in the Bronx and Upper Manhattan and are opening three new elementary schools in Queens for the 2025‑26 school year. We plan to grow and open 1–2 schools each year, believing that children in every community deserve excellent, equitable education.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
At least 1–2+ years of teaching experience
Mastery of dance
Responsibilities
Execute a vision of excellence in dance, working with leaders and teammates to craft inquiry‑based and rigorous lessons that inspire creativity and artistic expression in all students
Build a classroom culture that fosters students’ genuine love for learning and creates a sense of community for families
Assist with whole‑school initiatives and provide instructional support as needed
Use data‑driven approaches and teaching resources to drive student achievement
Develop authentic, meaningful relationships with students and families to support growth
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in weekly professional development opportunities to benefit from feedback that will help you grow as an educator
Lead a strong after‑school dance program that furthers students’ passion and skill set
Start Date & Salary The start date for this position is July 28, 2025. Summer professional development begins for staff in mid‑July and students start the school year in mid‑August. The salary range is $62,000–$94,000, with new hires placed at or near the start of the range depending on experience and internal equity.
