Seasonal CDL Driver – GROWMARK FS, LLC – Lowville, NY Salary range:

$18.00 – $23.00 hourly

GROWMARK FS is headquartered in Milford, Delaware with branches in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

We have about 500 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 13,000 customers. The cooperative does business in seed, agronomy, energy, crop protection, precision agriculture, and custom application.

GROWMARK FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.

Purpose And Summary Statement Operate a single, tandem or multi‑axle truck for delivery and/or pick‑up of agronomy and/or energy products following specified time schedules to/from the company locations or customer locations to achieve profitable business growth.

Essential Job Functions

Operate all assigned vehicles (single, tandem, or multi‑axle) in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.

Perform and record daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre‑trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes.

Follow the preventative maintenance program and maintain a clean truck to present a professional appearance.

Load and unload containers, pallets, or materials and products safely on trucks, trailers, or railcars by hand or by forklift truck, ensuring loads are evenly balanced and distributed and that axle weights comply with DOT regulations.

Ensure that all deliveries and pickups are made in accordance with time schedules and perform duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism.

Ensure that all associated documentation (bill of lading, delivery slips, invoices) is completed accurately and returned to the branch location at the end of the day to ensure timely receipt and payment of invoices.

Complete necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks and records of cargo, on a daily basis.

Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures as applicable.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two years or more of related work experience demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to safely operate tractor‑trailer or tender truck equipment and meet company and DOT standards.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a CDL license with required endorsements (tanker) and any other applicable certification, license or permit, valid medical card and a satisfactory driving record.

Ability to operate single, tandem and multi‑axle vehicles.

Ability to work extended hours and be on‑call as business conditions warrant.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training.
