Join the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation in the Clinton County Maintenance Organization as a Transportation Equipment Operator A. If you hold a valid Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with the Air Brake Restriction (L) removed, we invite you to apply for this full‑time position. Work Schedule and Additional Information

Full‑time employment Work hours: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch break (schedule may vary seasonally or due to operational needs) Telework: not available for this position Salary: new employees begin at an annual salary of $44,988 (before taxes) Qualifications and Experience

Completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program, or graduation from a Commercial Driver’s License Training School, or an equivalent combination of experience and training Valid Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with the Air Brake Restriction (L) removed Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Active certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in the operation of heavy trucks, loaders, and two additional pieces of construction equipment must be obtained within the probationary period Eligibility to obtain and maintain any necessary CDL endorsements and certifications Position requires operation of vehicles or equipment with a manual transmission Drug and Alcohol testing in accordance with Federal Regulations Must be able to perform essential job functions Responsibilities

As an Equipment Operator, you will maintain safety and efficiency on Pennsylvania’s roadways, especially during the winter season when snow removal is crucial. Your duties include: Snow plowing and equipment operation Minor repairs and routine maintenance on your equipment and vehicles Daily logs and reports tracking equipment usage and maintenance history Collaboration with teammates on physically demanding tasks to promote road safety and quality of life for residents Application Instructions
