Job Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to critical care patients, including assessments, medication administration, specimen collection, and treatments, following scope and standards of practice.
Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions effectively to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
Assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination.
Collaborate across disciplines for comprehensive patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
Assess and educate patients and families based on their learning needs, age, culture, and circumstances.
Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Complete all required education, including classroom and online courses.
Qualifications
Graduate of an RN program.
Current Tennessee RN license or a license from a compact state.
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
Ability to function effectively in a stressful environment.
Certifications: BLS required upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer; AHA or Red Cross certifications preferred.
