BrightStar Care has a private duty nursing opportunity (RN or LVN) for a client in Sugar Land, TX. Looking for a nurse to commit to every other weekend from 6a - 10a on Sat & Sun, with other shift potentials and visits available throughout the week if interested. Job Duties
Perform care as defined by patient’s individual plan of care within scope of state nurse practice act
Monitor patient condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
Patient flow sheet charting
Provide services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
Assure proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
Counsel patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs
Variety of assignments (infusions, injections, wound care, clinical trials & more)
Requirements
Current unrestricted RN or LVN license in Texas
Minimum one (2) year of documented experience
Tracheotomy experience required
Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
Clean background and criminal record
Negative pre‑employment drug screen
Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull; must lift up to 50 pounds
