Job Description
Mets Baseball & Softball Camps Coach/Counselor Mets Baseball Camps is now hiring Coaches for our summer youth baseball and softball camps throughout the tri‑state area.
Mets Summer Camps is looking for summer camp coaches in the tri‑state area who are energetic, positive, and who love to inspire our youth to make good choices and be accountable for their actions and decisions – all while having a great time! We provide the equipment, training, and curriculum. You provide the leadership that will help our campers have a wonderful learning experience and leave camp with a love of the game, new friends, better baseball/softball skills, and an appreciation for the importance of personal accountability.
What We Offer
Various positions available from Coach to Site Director for ages 4 through 13.
Work outdoors with young campers.
Share knowledge of baseball/softball and enhance the Mets Camps experience.
Make a positive difference in the lives of our youth.
Help young people develop a love of the game and the New York Mets.
Earn free tickets to select New York Mets home games.
Participate in our end‑of‑summer rally at Citi Field.
We Are Looking For
Experience working with children ages 4‑13.
Experience coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higher.
Passion for teaching and providing quality leadership in an engaging and energetic way.
Ability to connect with children both one‑on‑one and in a group setting.
Strong character, integrity, and a positive attitude.
Dependability and reliability.
A sense of fun.
Core Responsibilities
Ensure a safe camp environment for all campers.
Manage and motivate campers to have fun each day.
Execute New York Mets Baseball Camps Curriculum daily under the direction of the Site Director.
Provide feedback and suggestions during drills and games.
Highlight teachable moments for campers to learn and grow from.
Collaborate with other team members from various backgrounds to uphold the Mets Baseball Camps stellar reputation.
Qualifications for All Coaching Positions
Commitment: Monday‑Friday for approximately eight hours per day, preferably for a minimum 3‑5 week commitment.
Mets Baseball & Softball Camps run every week from June 15, 2026 to August 21, 2026.
Travel to each site with reliable transportation of your own.
Pass a comprehensive background screening.

Our Interview Process
After your application is submitted, you will receive an invitation to complete a one‑way interview.
Complete a 15‑minute virtual interview with our recruiter.
Compensation
Professional Educator: $20.00/hour (need at least 1 school year of paid teaching experience or proof of teaching certification).
College Student/Recent Graduate: $17.00/hour
High School Student/Under 18: $16.50/hour
Please note payroll is based on skill level and experience.
