Job Summary Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care in a PCU setting, overseeing the daily nursing care of patients.

Implement the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

Minimum Training and Education

Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) or equivalent.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Physical & Mental Requirements

Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, and work in confined spaces.

Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted and perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders.

Good vision and hearing acuity, with corrective eyewear or hearing aids as needed.

Capacity to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in a latex-safe environment.

Ability to manage stressful situations and perform tasks requiring gross and fine motor skills.
