Role Overview Act as a selling agent within the assigned territory, meeting all sales objectives for Chiesi USA’s promoted hospital products while upholding company standards and expectations.

Responsibilities

Quarterly/Annual Sales Objectives Attainment & Promotion

Call targeted customers and promote/sell Chiesi USA products in accordance with approved methods within the assigned geographical territory

Exceed sales goals and assigned quarterly and yearly objectives within territory

Conduct in‑services

Navigate the hospital formulary process

Implement business plans for the territory to meet goals established at territory and/or national levels

Establish and maintain professional relationships with targeted medical centres, pharmacies, physicians, medical staff, and others

Develop influential customers as local advocates

Schedule and conduct effective meetings with targeted customers and peers

Implement special programs within the territory to maximise sales opportunities (e.g., speaker’s bureau programmes, symposia, and convention displays)

Continuously modify sales and retention strategies and plans to ensure optimal business outcomes and "win‑win" results for physicians and company market providers

Partner and leverage Chiesi’s internal teams to meet customer needs and move the selling process forward

Territory Planning & Reporting

Develop, update, and adhere to territory business plans

Prepare various reports and presentations for management as required

Prepare and present monthly sales reports, identifying trends, additional business opportunities, and obstacles to new business growth

Development & Administration

Rapidly gain proficiency with products and sales tools (visual aids, clinical reprints, technical data, educational materials, etc.) to demonstrate a high degree of competence and knowledge to a highly trained and sophisticated audience

Manage budget for the territory within assigned company guidelines

Respond in a timely manner to all management and customer requests

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year accredited university

Minimum of two years’ pharmaceutical industry sales experience

Excellent communication (interpersonal and public speaking) skills

Proven organisational and territory management skills

Strong relationship‑building skills

Proficiency with presenting scientific information using visual aids, clinical reprints and technical data (must be a necessity)

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Successful completion of new‑hire training and the ability to pass product knowledge tests

Capability to plan, prioritise and execute multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision in a highly dynamic work environment

Valid driver’s licence and acceptable driving record

Thorough knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards and hospital credentialing processes, including the successful completion of a drug test (including testing for marijuana)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the specialty pharmaceutical sales industry

Location Field‑Based/Remote position with up to 60% travel. Coverage of the Cincinnati and Columbus, OH territory.

Compensation The annual base pay ranges from $150,600 to $165,660. Base pay may vary based on market location and individual factors. This is an at‑will position; the company reserves the right to modify pay at any time.
