Responsibilities
Provide a variety of therapeutic social, recreational, and diversional events for participants.
Conduct individual assessments to identify participants' interests and needs.
Develop and implement an appropriate variety of individual and group activities.
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
Coordinate recreation documentation for assigned participants.
Assist with training and supervising assigned aides.
Lead facility-wide participant-centered events.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy.
National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Certification within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years providing recreation with the elderly or disabled.
