Bi-weekly Hours:
72 hrs
Shift:
NIGHTS (includes rotating weekends & holidays)

Unit Overview:
Acute Care Adult Medical Surgical and Surgical Overflow Unit, 4 East.
Primary Patient Population:
Inpatient Medical
Post-Surgical Orthopedic Care
Spinal surgery recovery
Trauma overflow
Primary Skills Utilized/learned:
Assisting patients with personal hygiene, eating & drinking
Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP, etc.)
Providing comfort measures (pressure relieving devices, ROM, protective dressings)
Colleagues:
LPNs, Registered Nurses, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT
Unit Size:
34 beds (14 private rooms, 20 semi-private rooms)

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalency
Ability to work in a team environment, good judgment, flexibility, initiative, effective problem-solving skills
Current AHA Basic Life Support certification for health care provider (obtained within 90 days of hire)
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (optional after employment)
1 year experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital
