Job Description: The Luminere Technician supports the successful nightly operation of the Luminere Experience by ensuring all technical equipment is functioning safely, reliably, and to established quality standards. The position is responsible for conducting system checks, monitoring performance during operation, and troubleshooting technical issues in partnership with contractors and vendor partners. The Luminere Technician performs hands‑on technical adjustments, including accessing projectors and equipment at height, while consistently operating within Biltmore safety and operational guidelines. This position reports to the Luminere Experience Manager.
Compensation & Schedule: The starting pay range for this position begins at $25/hr and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Weekend and evening availability are required for this role.

Essential Job Duties:
Conduct nightly inspections and system checks to confirm all Luminere Experience equipment is fully operational prior to guest opening
Monitor technical systems during show operation and respond promptly to equipment or performance issues
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in collaboration with contractors and vendor partners
Access, adjust, align, and fine‑tune projectors and related equipment as needed to maintain show quality
Perform basic technical maintenance, resets, and adjustments as required
Communicate recurring issues, observations, and improvement opportunities to leadership
Must be on site for the duration of each Luminere experience which includes nights, weekends and potential holidays
Additional Responsibilities:
Operate ladders, lifts, and other access equipment safely and in accordance with established training and policies
Maintain organized, safe, and professional technical and backstage work areas
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and fall protection
Support additional technical or operational needs of the Luminere Experience as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma (or GED). Additional training preferred.
Ideal candidates will have at least two (2) years relevant AV experience.
Working knowledge of projection, lighting, AV, or show control systems preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities in a live event or show environment.
Ability to work hands‑on with technical equipment and electronic systems.
Ability to work effectively with internal teams, contractors, and vendor partners.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality standards.
Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Lift certification or willingness to obtain required certifications is required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Work outside and inside in a variety of weather conditions with temperature fluctuations.
Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 19 years of age.
