Job Summary Cicoil, a Trexon company, is hiring a Production Assembler to assemble and manufacture various types of cables used in electrical and electronic systems. The assembler ensures the quality and functionality of the cables meet standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cable Assembly: Perform assembly according to work instructions, engineering drawings, or diagrams. Tasks include cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering wires and connectors, routing cables, and securing them with fasteners.

Quality: Ensure cables meet quality standards. Identify and rectify defects such as loose connections, improper soldering, or damaged insulation.

Equipment Operation: Operate tools and equipment such as wire strippers, crimping machines, soldering irons, heat guns, and testing devices. Maintain equipment for safety and productivity.

Documentation / Labor Clocking: Adhere to documentation procedures and accurately record jobs in the ERP system.

Safety: Follow safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment. Comply with company policies and quality management systems.

Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve production-related challenges.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency enhancements, or cost reduction. Provide feedback to supervisors for improving production methods, equipment, or materials.

Molding: Place materials into molds using a foot pump to inject potting material. Spray or brush mold surfaces with parting agents to ensure smoothness. Use depth gauges and hand tools to adjust wires, cores, tubes, and fittings. Separate parts from molds and inspect products for accuracy. Clean excess material with cutters and cleaning tools.

Nice to Haves

Previous experience in cable assembly, electrical assembly, or related manufacturing roles.

Familiarity with cable types, connectors, and electrical components.

Basic knowledge of soldering techniques and wire crimping.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.

Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment commonly used in cable assembly.

This position requires use of information or access to hardware and documents that are subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be able to comply with the requirements of ITAR and other U.S. export control laws.

Physical Demands The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel assemblies, reach with hands and arms for materials and tools. Fine manipulation and visual acuity are frequently required while using a cutter, vibrating cleaning tools, and a microscope.

Work Environment The work environment involves occasional loud noise from cleaning tools and surrounding machinery.

Compensation $17–$19 per hour
