Role Overview
Contract-to-hire position as a Quality Assurance Specialist for TEKsystems, based out of Jackson, Mississippi. The contract duration is 520 hours with potential for long-term hire.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $34.00/hr (fixed rates, no negotiation)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM CST
Location: Remote; based in Jackson, MS

Responsibilities
Perform quality assurance review of peer review reports, correspondences, addendums, and supplemental reviews.
Ensure clear, concise, evidence-based rationales for all recommendations and/or determinations.
Confirm client instructions and specifications are followed and questions addressed.
each review is supported by current clinical citations from reputable medical journals/publications.
Ensure content, format, and professional appearance of reports meet company standards.
Confirm appropriate board specialty review per client specifications or state mandates, documented accurately.
Verify peer reviewer attestation to facts and absence of conflict of interest.
Ensure provider credentials and signature are included in final report.
Identify inconsistencies and contact Peer Reviewer for clarification, modification, or correction.
Assist in resolving client complaints and quality assurance issues.
Ensure compliance with federal ERISA and state mandates.
Provide insight to management on consultant quality, availability, and compliance with policies/procedures.
Promote efficient utilization of company resources.
Participate in educational and training activities as required.
Qualifications
Experience in inpatient, long-term care, or acute care settings.
Knowledge of ERISA and state mandates.
