Porter Medical Center, a 25‑bed critical access hospital located in Middlebury, VT, is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join the Women’s Health team on a per diem basis.
Porter Obstetrics, Midwifery, and Gynecology is a comprehensive women’s health practice. The collaborative team of physicians, nurse midwives, and nurse practitioners provides compassionate care for women in all phases of life. We pride ourselves in providing high‑quality, personalized, and attentive care. Our practice offers a full scope of services to optimize the health of women at all ages. Our Birthing Center utilizes the LDRP model of care where women and their families stay in the same home‑like room they give birth in for their entire stay.
Experience
Ideal candidates will have three or more years of full‑time, full‑scope midwifery experience. A minimum of two years experience is required.
This position requires an experienced practitioner; new CNM graduates are not able to be considered at this time.
Education, Licensure, and Certifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing.
Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
Active or pending RN and APRN licenses in the State of Vermont.
Current NRP and BLS certifications.
