Skunk Works RF Antenna Engineer
Overview Locked at Lockheed Martin, the long‑standing Skunk Works division has pioneered revolutionary aircraft and technologies for over eight decades.
The team seeks a highly qualified RF Engineer who can contribute to the development of low‑observable (LO) antennas, RF systems, radomes, and LO hardware integration.
Responsibilities
Conduct research and development related to LO antennas, RF systems, radomes, and hardware integration.
Provide technical support for internal research and development (IRAD) and contracted research and development (CRAD) projects.
Drive technology development directions and help shape RF technology roadmaps.
Perform system‑level radome and antenna performance roll‑up and verification.
Design and test full or large‑scale fixture installations.
Present concise findings to customers and engineering teams.
Maintain written and verbal communication of concepts, developments, and trade‑study results.
Qualifications
Strong background in electromagnetics and radar cross‑section (RCS) reduction for antennas and radomes.
Proficiency in industry design and analysis tools such as HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, FEKO, and MATLAB.
Experience in RF hardware prototyping and manufacturing.
Hands‑on knowledge of radome/antenna/RF hardware integration on air vehicles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface with internal and external customers.
Experience leading teams, external customer interaction, and basic project‑management skills.
Active Secret Clearance desired.
U.S. citizenship required; position located at a facility requiring special access.
