Job Description Barcadia New Orleans is currently seeking several new full‑time Cook positions. The selected candidate will prepare lunch and/or dinner, review menus prior to food preparation, and assure that all food procedures are followed while coordinating food service with other departments. The Cook will follow sanitation guidelines, become familiar with new menu items, and work as part of a team.
Major Responsibilities Include
Prepare lunch and/or dinner
Review menus prior to preparation of food
Assure that all food procedures are followed
Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary
Follow all sanitation guidelines
Become familiar with new menu items/dishes
Work as part of a team
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on‑the‑job training preferred
Minimum of 3 years of food preparation experience required
Experience with high volume food preparation preferred
Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
Knowledge of cooking burgers and steaks to the correct requested temperature
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
