Job Overview:
Austin Country Club is seeking a dedicated and skilled Greenskeeper to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining the aesthetic and playability of our golf course. The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf course maintenance and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
Pay range: $12.00-15.00 / hour based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Mow and maintain greens, fairways, and roughs, ensuring a high level of presentation and playability.
Participate in the construction and maintenance of turf areas, including seeding, top dressing, and aerating.
Operate and maintain a variety of turf care equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
Assist with irrigation system maintenance, including adjusting sprinkler heads and identifying and repairing leaks.
Help with the setup of the golf course for daily play, including placing tee markers and flagsticks, and changing hole locations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in turf management or related field is a plus.
Knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices and equipment operation.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
A valid driver’s license.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
