Compensation: $19-$20 per hour | Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6am to 2:30pm

Job Summary As a Deli Cook, you play a vital role in creating memorable culinary experiences for our customers while ensuring efficient kitchen operations. Your dedication to quality and attention to detail, by consistently producing delicious and visually appealing dishes that exceed customer expectations. By maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety protocols, you contribute to a safe and hygienic working environment.

What You'll Do

Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor, work well with customers as well as associates.

Follow café guidelines concerning guest services, food and physical safety, maintenance and equipment/space cleaning, and requirements at all times.

Prepare food items, ensuring consistency and compliance with the Cafe's recipes, portioning, cooking, and waste control guidelines.

Prepare and portion ingredients for sandwiches, salads, soups, and other deli items.

Cook or heat menu items using ovens, panini presses, slicers, and other deli equipment.

Assemble sandwiches and deli items accurately, following recipes or guest preferences.

Provide friendly, professional customer service and respond to basic menu questions.

Follow food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining clean workstations and equipment.

Be versatile with equipment such as oven, slicer, etc.

Perform other duties assigned.

What You Will Bring

High school diploma or GED.

Excellent knife skills.

Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Attention to detail.

Positive attitude.

Excellent customer service and communication.

Ability to perform basic math duties.

Ability to multitask and adjust to change on the fly.

Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and responsible food handling standards.

Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handler Card.

Physical And Sensory Requirements

This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
