Youth Ministry Director/Pastor – Rock Harbor Church Rock Harbor Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Ministry Director/Pastor to lead and develop our vibrant youth ministry. This role will involve creating a safe and engaging environment for our youth to grow in their faith and build meaningful relationships with each other and with Jesus. The Youth Ministry Director/Pastor will coordinate youth programs, including weekly gatherings, special events, retreats, and outreach opportunities tailored to middle school and high school students.

As a church planted within the Evangelical Covenant Church, Rock Harbor has experienced growth and strong community engagement since our inception in 2019. Situated in the beautiful beach town of Melbourne Beach, FL, we strive to provide authentic Christian community, heartfelt worship, and opportunities for service and outreach in our local community.

Your primary responsibility will be to build and lead a team of volunteers who love working with students and help them to deepen their faith. This position not only requires creativity and curriculum planning but also a commitment to mentoring youth and being an active presence in their lives.

Responsibilities

Seek to be a Christ‑Like Servant Leader of the Youth Ministry of RHFL.

Lead the Youth Ministry of RHFL.

Socials/Contact Work.

Small Groups.

Large Group Events (Youth Group & Special Events).

Community Service & Missions.

Retreats/Camps.

Parent Support & Relations.

Recruit and equip a youth volunteer team in their responsibilities, delegating appropriately, and assisting when needed.

Attend staff and leadership meetings of RHFL regularly.

Support RHFL Sunday Morning Worship which may include working with the children’s ministry, welcome team, preaching, worship, tech, etc.

Support RHFL Events and Programs as needed.

Qualifications

Must have the legal ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Minimum of Two Years of Experience Leading a healthy & growing youth ministry.

Committed to God, having a testimony of conversion to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and fulfills the Biblical standard of a church leader. (Romans 10:9)

Pastoral Assistant – Holy Family Parish & American Martyrs Parish Holy Family Parish and American Martyrs Parish are seeking a Pastoral Assistant to assist the Pastor in the daily administration, coordination, and pastoral operations of both parishes. This position is essential to ensuring smooth day‑to‑day functioning, clear communication, and effective pastoral support across both parish communities. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, proactive, mission‑oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a warm, welcoming pastoral presence.

Primary Responsibilities: Pastoral & Administrative Support

Serve as the primary administrative support to the Pastor.

Help manage the Pastor’s daily workflow, priorities, and desk.

Coordinate schedules, appointments, meetings, and parish commitments.

Screen phone calls, emails, and correspondence, responding appropriately or routing as needed.

Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound pastoral judgment.

Parish Operations & Coordination

Assist with day‑to‑day parish operations for both parishes.

Coordinate calendars between Holy Family and American Martyrs to avoid conflicts.

Prepare correspondence, memos, letters, and reports as needed.

Support parish staff, clergy, and volunteers with administrative coordination.

Communication & Organization

Draft and format emails, letters, bulletins, announcements, and internal communications.

Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems.

Track deadlines, follow‑ups, and ongoing parish initiatives.

Assist with parish communications across platforms (email, bulletin, website, social media coordination as needed).

Meetings & Events

Attend meetings & take meeting notes and follow up on action items.

Assist in planning and coordinating parish events, liturgies, and special initiatives.

Serve as a point of contact for vendors, diocesan offices, and external partners as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Practicing Catholic with a respect for the mission and life of the Church.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities with flexibility and calm.

High level of discretion and professionalism.

Proficiency with office technology (email, Word, Google Docs, calendars, basic spreadsheets).

Experience in parish ministry, nonprofit administration, or office management preferred.

About the Church: Calvin Christian Reformed Church, an active, devoted, and generous congregation, has been serving Rock Valley and beyond for nearly 75 years. During that time, it has been served by eight pastors, including Rev. Gideon Wamal, who recently retired after a tenure of 18 years. The congregation currently enjoys the interim presence, preaching, and guidance of Pastor Doug De Groot. Primary Responsibilities

Preaching/Teaching : The Pastor will thoughtfully and prayerfully prepare and deliver biblically based and relevant sermons that equip listeners with an understanding of biblical truths in a clear and discerning way. The Pastor will also have opportunities to administer the sacraments and to teach in a variety of settings.

Worship/Liturgist : The Pastor will plan and lead both Sunday services (as well as services on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Good Friday). He will be supported by a Worship Coordinator.

Spiritual Direction/Pastoral Care : The Pastor will provide timely spiritual direction and pastoral care for those seeking baptism, profession of faith, church membership, marriage, healing, and encouragement, as well as for those suffering the loss of love.

Leadership/Management : The Pastor will serve as the spiritual and organizational leader of the congregation, partnering with the Council as they guide the congregation into a new season of ministry.

Public Presence/Community Engagement : The Pastor will represent the congregation in the community and denomination, as well as engage in community‑wide events in Rock Valley.
