Position Summary Responsible for providing nursing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing‑Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other relevant standards. Nursing care is delivered in accordance with ECU Health policies, procedures, and professional standards of care. The RN provides care, collects and analyzes assessment data, identifies expected outcomes, develops and implements plans of care in collaboration with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team, evaluates progress, and documents the process. Care is sensitive to age‑specific and unique needs. The RN promotes and evaluates the effective functioning of the health care team, collaborates with team members to meet patient/family needs throughout the episode of care, and delegates tasks appropriately under the NC Nurse Practice Act.
Minimum Requirements
Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license or licensure in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
At least 1 year of experience in an acute patient care setting.
Pay Range $33.00 – $51.98 per hour.
Other Information
Position: 0.3 FTE – As needed.
Days: Monday through Thursday, 7 am – 3:30 pm.
Shifts: 4 to 8 hours.
About The Outer Banks Hospital The Outer Banks Hospital is a full‑service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21‑bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year‑round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in summer. Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, a cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24‑hour emergency department.
