ACTIVITY AIDE/COORDINATOR - PRN
West Oaks Hospital
– 176‑bed acute care facility with a 16‑bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. Offers behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults at inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels. 24/7 availability.
Responsibilities The Activity Coordinator assists the Recreation Therapist and Director of Recreation Therapy in designing and implementing therapeutic recreation services to improve patients’ physical, mental, social, and emotional well‑being. Responsibilities include:
Assist the recreation therapy department with hospital‑wide special events.
Collaborate with the treatment team to develop a structured curriculum adaptable to various cultural backgrounds, heritage, and identity of patients.
Maintain recreational areas and equipment.
Complete documentation accurately and timely.
Observe patients and share appropriate information with the manager.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe environment.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field preferred.
CPR and hospital de‑escalation certifications required.
One year of experience in program specialty required; one year in a healthcare environment preferred.
