Woodshop Associate / Woodworker

Base pay range $20.00/yr - $23.00/yr
Position Summary The Woodshop Associate is responsible for cutting, gluing, finishing, and building stair components from wood blanks. They handle material loading and unloading for equipment. They produce high‑quality product and work with team members to meet production targets safely.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Cut, glue, build, and finish wood stair parts
Basic understanding of blueprint drawings and build layouts
Material identification – wood species, thickness, grain, and mill quality
Work with team members to creatively build orders and resolve obstacles
Ability to read tape measure to the 1/16”
Knowledge and understanding of proper cut quality
Setup and operate machinery: table saws, chop saws, shaper, planer, drill presses, routers, other power tools, and hand tools
Ensure proper housekeeping
Assist at other machines within the department as needed
Assist in other departments in the plant as needed
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Pictures of woodworking skills may be sent in with the resume. Education and Experience
Minimum 2 years related experience in construction, contracting, carpentry, woodworking, or cabinetmaking.
Carpentry and Woodworking Certifications are a plus.
Math skills – fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
Ability to read blueprints and perform a flat layout.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
