Job Purpose As an ESE Teacher, you will partner with parents, students, and regular education teachers to promote student achievement and comply with Federal and State Regulations. You will deliver specialized instruction and support inclusion practices.

How You Will Impact Education

Prepare and conduct parent and student conferences.

Deliver instruction in various modalities, including synchronous instruction, learning support, life skills, and co‑teaching.

Collect data, work samples, and progress reports.

Assist regular education teachers with specially designed instruction.

Support ESE students in general classrooms and train teachers.

Arrange and assist training for inclusionary practices.

Act as an informational liaison for inclusion.

Plan accommodations for classroom and testing.

Adapt curriculum materials to meet student needs.

Monitoring & Compliance

Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress.

Proctor standardized tests.

Complete quarterly progress reports.

Special Education Responsibilities

Maintain IEPs, quarterly reports, and progress monitoring.

Develop and implement IEPs with measurable goals.

Conduct IEP meetings on time.

Make data‑driven instructional decisions.

Maintain accurate special‑education data.

Administer diagnostic assessments.

Participate in state training and professional development.

Communication

Communicate with teachers and administrators.

Participate in weekly team meetings.

Respond to e‑mail and voicemails within 24 hours.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an accredited program.

State certification in Special Education and Highly Qualified status.

At least 3 years of teaching experience.

Clear criminal and employment background checks.

Knowledge of learning theory, motivation, and evaluation techniques.

Ability to meet the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Usual school conditions; occasional high‑traffic noise.

No physical exertion required; may handle objects up to 20 lbs.

Job is exempt from overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
