Overview
The Seasonal Beauty Advisor (BA) is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience at Ulta Beauty. The role engages each guest to determine their individual needs, conducts cashier tasks, keeps fixtures stocked, maintains store cleanliness, and completes tasks as assigned. This position requires a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the aptitude to learn and communicate product knowledge. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni‑channel sales, and retail shrink. Provide guest‑friendly service by greeting, engaging, and personalizing service to guest needs, answering questions, and recommending complementary Ulta Beauty products and/or services. Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with online orders. Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience. Book appointments and support execution of services and in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while achieving sales goals. Stay informed about new and existing products and services, knowing ingredients and benefits to better serve guests. People
Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests. Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, with guests on the sales floor. Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business. Regularly participate in ongoing training and brand education to enable continuous professional development and drive sales performance. Process
Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards. Adhere to Ulta Beauty dress code. Drive sales by keeping assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensuring testers are available. Maintain outstanding store standards and overall cleanliness across all areas. Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and processing/unloading shipments using Ulta Beauty technology. Protect assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service. Job Qualifications
High school diploma preferred. 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Passion for guest service and competency for selling. Proficiency with basic technology (e.g., POS system and Apple devices). Strong customer relationship building and independent teamwork. Special Position Requirements
Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Working Conditions
Continuous mobility and frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shift. Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and moving up to 25 lbs. during shift. About Ulta Beauty
