70101 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Surgery Center, Winston Salem

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. (no holidays or weekends)

Hours per week:

40

Pay range:

$26.10 – $39.15 per hour

Sign‑on bonus:

$15,000 for new hires, $10,000 for new graduates (qualified)

Relocation assistance:

Responsibilities

Perform and assist with diagnostic and/or therapeutic radiologic procedures while adhering to state regulations.

Maintain readiness of emergency equipment, supplies, and patient records.

Coordinate activities with staff to accomplish work objectives.

Provide patient instruction, education, and consultation to enhance care quality.

Ensure accurate patient records via correct data entry, validation, and archival of images.

Provide emergency on‑call coverage as required.

Maintain competency for point‑of‑care testing as assigned.

Perform age/developmentally appropriate care according to guidelines.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Minimum six months diagnostic experience preferred; one year with patients preferred.

Registered and certified with ARRT or eligible and registered within 12 months of hire.

BLS (CPR) certification required.

Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work professionally with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff.

Ability to maintain daily schedules, function with frequent workload changes, and meet competing demands.

Basic computer skills.

Essential Functions

Adhere to radiation protection regulations and maintain appropriate credentials.

Ensure emergency equipment and supplies readiness; recognize and respond to emergencies.

Maintain knowledge of procedures, equipment, and systems used.

Provide accurate data entry and recordkeeping for patient images.

Work Environment

Clean work area with frequent exposure to infections and bloodborne diseases.

Exposure to hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids, radioactive energy, flammable gases, electro‑mechanical equipment.

Potential exposure to odorous chemicals, specimens, cleaning agents.

Inevitable injury from moving parts of equipment and unpredictable situations.

Handles emergency or crisis situations; may work short‑notice absentee replacement.
