Chemical Manufacturing Support Technician

– Actalent is seeking a detail‑oriented technician to support batch preparation and reactor cleaning in a highly regulated API manufacturing facility. The role is contract-to-hire and may transition to permanent with night shift availability. Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and cleaning of reactors alongside the Chemical Manufacturing Technician. Follow SOPs and cGMPs for batch completion, including real‑time documentation, weight checks, component counting, and material preparation. Handle, consolidate, inspect, and prepare materials for production. Perform basic math calculations and chemical handling operations. Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in chemical operations or handling. Basic math skills for calculations. Knowledge of chemical handling, blending, titration, and analytical chemistry. High School Diploma; experience in pharmaceutical, API, GDP, method validation and method development is a plus. Work Environment

The position is located in an API manufacturing facility that requires personal protective equipment (gloves, full‑face respirator, Tyvek suit). The primary cleaning agent is citric acid and no hazardous chemicals are involved. The work schedule is flexible and requires at least 8.5‑hour shifts starting between 6–9 am, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours a week. Overtime may be requested. The role may transition to a permanent position with a 12‑hour night shift schedule on a 2‑2‑3 rotation from 6 pm to 6:30 am, offering a shift differential and a yearly bonus. Pay and Benefits

Pay range:

$21.00 – $21.00 /hr .
