As a Veterinary Technician in our Oncology department, you will work alongside experienced veterinarians and compassionate veterinary professionals to provide top-notch care to pets diagnosed with cancer.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including handling, restraint, and medication administration
Collect and record patient history and vital signs
Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for procedures
Monitor and document patient progress during and after treatment
Perform routine diagnostic procedures, such as blood work, cytology, and radiology
Administer treatments, including chemotherapy, under the guidance of veterinarians
Assist with specialized procedures like ultrasound, biopsy, and CT scans
Monitor patients during anesthesia and post-anesthesia recovery
Provide support and education to pet owners facing a cancer diagnosis
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Ideal Candidate
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification as a Veterinary Technician preferred
