Registered Nurse ASC – Novant Health
Location: 75 Baylor Drive, Bluffton, SC 29910.
Status: PRN.
Start Dates: March; facility opens mid‑April.
Schedule: 2 shifts/week, Monday‑Friday. No weekends, major holidays, or on‑call shifts.
Responsibilities
Pre‑operative Assessment: Perform comprehensive intake including medical history verification, surgical site marking, IV initiation while ensuring all pre‑surgical requirements and consents are complete.
Intra‑operative Coordination: Serve as Circulating Nurse to manage sterile environment, advocate for patient safety during “Time Out,” and assist anesthesia and surgical teams during the procedure.
Post‑Anesthesia Care (PACU): Monitor patients’ vital signs and consciousness level as they emerge from anesthesia, manage pain, nausea, and surgical sites to ensure clinical stability.
Discharge Education: Provide clear, concise post‑operative instructions to patients and caregivers regarding wound care, medication schedules, and red‑flag symptoms to manage recovery at home.
Regulatory Compliance: Meticulously document all phases of care and maintain strict adherence to infection control, HIPAA, and CMS standards to ensure facility meets accreditation requirements.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing school required.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi‑State/Compact required.
One‑year relevant experience preferred.
