Position Summary We are seeking an emerging Image Processing (IP) Engineer who will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control. IP Engineer tasks include:
Design, integrate, and test IP, target detection, and/or image enhancement algorithm solutions for missile and fire control products
Develop, verify, and validate complex models and simulations that utilize match filters, convolutional neural networks, and other techniques to detect targets of interest.
Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements.
Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities that support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities.
Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, physics, computer engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or similar.
Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to perform one or more of the following Image Processing (IP) assignments based on completed coursework or professional experience: Develop and analyze algorithms such as match filtering, signal-to-noise analysis, and image enhancement algorithms.
Proficient in one or more of the following languages: Python, C++, Matlab.
Strong math skills in linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and convolution transformations.
Desired Skills
Experience developing and analyzing algorithms related to signal/image processing.
Ability to perform preflight system performance assessment and post flight verification analyses.
Experience designing and analyzing target detection and image enhancement systems.
Demonstrated skills in probability, statistics, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
Experience with Model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real-time performance requirements.
Security Clearance and Eligibility This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.
